TrekTote didn't start with a business plan. It started with people.
Before there was a brand or a single kit for sale, there was something I cared about deeply: people experiencing homelessness. The folks who too often go unseen. And one thing kept coming back to me. The small things most of us never think twice about, a toothbrush, a bar of soap, a stick of deodorant, aren't small at all.
They're how you start your day feeling human. They're how you walk into a job interview, a clinic or a shelter with your head up.
The basics aren't small. They're where dignity starts.
So we started putting those essentials together. Complete, sealed and ready to hand to someone who needs them. And the more we did it, the clearer something else became: shelters, nonprofits, outreach teams and churches were spending hours of precious volunteer time sourcing mismatched minis and packing bags by hand. Time that should have gone to people.
From caring to a company
That's how TrekTote became a business. We took what we were already doing and turned it into kits organizations can order once and hand out the day they arrive. Brand-name products, packed with care, the same every time, whether you need five or a full pallet.
Today our kits go to shelters, schools, hotels, clinics, companies and outreach programs across the country. Growing didn't change why we started. It gave us more ways to give.
10% of our profits, every year
That's why every year, TrekTote gives 10% of its profits to charity. It isn't a campaign or a holiday promotion. It's part of how we run the company, and it grows as we do.
So when you order from us, you're getting kits that work. You're also part of something we care about a lot: making sure more people get to start the day with the basics they deserve.
Thank you for being part of it.
